Web Design
Building a web page or web site is synonymous with building a house in many ways with a few exceptions. The extent of this page will show you how your web site will be built in relation to that of building a house. The process of designing and building a house can be a daunting task which is why you would hire a contractor and their team to take care of the process while you simply sit back and watch and oversee the project.
So what is the process and how can I turn my vision into reality?
Phase 1: The Blueprints
In the production of a website (just like anything else) you need plans. Before you submit a quote request to us make a list of all the features you want in your website. If you are unsure exactly what you require and would prefer for us to talk you through what we can do you for your business then submit as many details as you can think of into a Quote Request for review.
|
Phase 2: The Foundation
A graphical template is drawn up from your blueprints giving you the first visual representation of your vision. We strongly recommend that if possible, this portion of the process is carried out face to face although we can complete this online if required. Throughout this process you simply approve and/or reject changes made by our designers as we work towards a solid foundation and shape your web site will take.
|
Phase 3: The Framework
A solid framework is needed in any structure so that end users can actually use your web site to its full potential. All sites we create now are compliant with today's web standards thus making your web site viewable to people on any operating system using any browser. Such compliancy maximizes your target market in order to convert traffic into revenue.
|
Phase 4: The Structure
Once coded using basic XHTML/CSS, you are presented with a beta site (shell) look at. This shell is the first real look at your site created from the visual template and layout structure requested. The site will contain filler content (gibberish text) to give the appearance of the final product before it's actually completed.
|
Phase 5: The Content
With a fully created beta site (shell) already in place we now fill in each page with content provided by you as well as any final programming features requested. This final step is basically your interior designing stage where you would put your furniture into your house before moving in.
|
Phase 6: The Delivery
All features are in working order and all content in place ready for final tweaks and settings to be carried out. Administrative training is completed so you know how to update and fill in your web site. Finally your web site is delivered and installed for you on your chosen web hosting space ready for the world to view.
